Stuart
Pinkwater, PsyD. Clinical Director
Dr. Stuart Pinkwater is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of
clinical experience, primarily working with children, adolescents, and families.
Dr. Pinkwater has been involved with the Cancer Wellness Center since 1997. He
helped create and implement the family room program which is now
a short-term counseling program for individuals, couples and families affected
by cancer. In 2004, he was named the Clinical Director. Dr. Pinkwater provides
all levels of counseling as well as facilitation of support groups and networking
groups. |

Priscilla Andrews, M.A., L.P.C. Clinical Associate
Priscilla Andrews is a counselor at the Cancer Wellness Center, working with
individuals, couples and families through the family room program.
She also works with a variety of support and networking groups at the Center,
including the daytime support group for significant others of cancer survivors,
the Gynecologic Cancer Networking Group, and the Survivorship Networking Group.
Her main areas of interest are bereavement and caregiver support. |

Linda
Bliwas, L.C.S.W. Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Linda Bliwas has been at the Cancer Wellness Center for since 1990. She facilitates
a variety of support groups and runs the Ovarian networking groups at the Center.
She sat on the committee which developed the
family room program, where she continues
to see participants. |

Ary
Christofidis, Ph.D., L.C.P. Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Christofidis has been associated with the Cancer Wellness Center since
2005. Dr. Christofidis facilitates the Men's Support Group in addition to conducting
individual and family psychotherapy for men diagnosed with cancer through the
family room program. Dr. Christofidis
has been working in the field of psychology since 1991. |

Pamela
Holtzman, RN, L.C.S.W. Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Pamela has spent the last 25 years working as a psychotherapist, hospice
nurse, patient care advocate, professional speaker and trainer. She is the creator
and author of the "Healthy Lifestyle Program" that she facilitates at the Cancer
Wellness Center in Northbrook, IL. Her mind/body/spirit approach to her work is
a reflection of her own lifestyle as a cancer survivor. Pamela uses a combination
of cognitive therapy, trauma release with EMDR, and integrative systems therapy
as the foundation for her "Wellness" orientation to teaching meditation, stress
management and visualization. She seeks to assist her clients to live a more balanced,
happy life. |

Deborah
Kronenberger, M.A., L.P.C. Wellness Program Coordinator
Deborah Kronenberger is a clinician and certified yoga instructor. Her clinical
duties include coordinating the mind/body/spirit programs; counseling individuals,
couples, and families through the family room program; and teaching
yoga and meditation. Deborah also facilitates the Spirituality Discussion Group
as well as the Applications for Daily Living series, which teaches participants
how to apply what they have learned in the mind/body/spirit programs to their
daily life. |

Sarah
Levinson Bauer, M.S. Education and Research Coordinator
Sarah Levinson Bauer is the Clinical Coordinator of Education and Research.
In addition to coordinating the Center's programs and the Calendar, Sarah coordinates
the Center's research collaborations and has played an active role in our Satellite
Center collaborations. Clinically, she sees participants through the family
room program for individual and couples counseling. She also facilitates
a weekly Survivor Support Group as well as the Lung Cancer Networking Group. Sarah
also created and teaches the Healthy Thinking Program, where participants learn
how to modify their thoughts in order to change how they feel. |

Kimberly
Matthews, M.A., L.C.P.C. Support Programs Coordinator
Kim is a licensed clinical professional counselor who has been at the Cancer
Wellness Center since 1998. She facilitates the support group for Young Women
with Cancer, a support group for Significant Others of a loved-one with cancer
and The Discussion Group for Mortals. Kim teaches Meditation at the Botanic Garden
and Strength for Caring: Supporting the Caregiver. She also sees families, individuals
and couples in the family room program. |

Megan
McMahon, Ph.D. Licensed Clinical Psychologist Family Services Coordinator
Dr. McMahon has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
with an emphasis in health and behavioral medicine. Her specialty is working with
couples who are coping with chronic illness. In 2003 Dr. McMahon developed the
program Partners Empowered, a six-week structured intervention aimed
at facilitating adjustment and softening the impact a cancer diagnosis has on
a couple's relationship. This program is currently supported by a grant Dr. McMahon
received from the American Cancer Society. |

Patsy
Winicour Co-founder and Director of Operations
Patsy co-founded the Cancer Wellness Center in 1989. In addition to her administrative
work, she facilitates the "Welcome Program," an orientation to the Cancer Wellness
Center. She also facilitates the two Breast Cancer Networking groups and is developing
"Breast Friends," an activity-based group. |

Deb
Wojcik, L.C.S.W. Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Deb is the Coordinator of Bereavement and Professional Education at the Cancer
Wellness Center. She has been with the Cancer Wellness Center since 2000, facilitating
support and networking groups, providing counseling services through the Center's
family room program, and assisting with the Center's Professional
Development and Training Program for behavioral healthcare professionals. Deb
has developed and taught the Cancer in the Workplace program since its inception
in 2005. Deb has over 15 years experience in the field including work in hospice
care, inpatient, managed care, training in grief and illness counseling, and chronic
or life-limiting medical illnesses. |

Asal
Azizi, M.A. Doctoral Student Asal
is a graduate doctoral student at Illinois School of Professional Psychology at
Argosy University, Chicago campus. Her primary interests include individual counseling,
young survivors and child and adolescent groups. |

James Schadewald, M.A. Doctoral Student
James is a graduate doctoral student from the Adler School of Professional
Psychology. His primary interests include mind/body and men's programming. |

Lissa
Anderson Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator
Lissa gets the word out to health care professionals and community groups
about the Center and all the services we provide to those affected by cancer.
She also manages and trains all the office and outreach volunteers. |

Carolyn Bennett Clinical Administrator
Carolyn is responsible for making sure the day-to-day of the Center runs
smoothly by managing the participant database, scheduling, information and statistics.
She also oversees maintenance of the facility and supplies. |

Nancy
Bulzoni Director, Development Operations
Nancy is involved in the day to day operations and fundraising efforts of
the Development Department. She also handles inquiries regarding tribute, memorial,
and regular donations as well as Corporate, Foundation and Annual Campaign giving. |

Stacy
Herpe Development Associate Stacy
is responsible for planning and executing the Center’s annual Stepping Up to Wellness
run/walk event, How You Can Help events and the Center’s Annual Educational Forum.
She works closely with the Director of Special Events on the Center’s large events
such as the Annual Benefit and writes the Center newsletter. |

Jacqueline
Hogendorp Database Coordinator Jacqueline
manages the Center’s database. She keeps information current by making all changes
and inputs contributions and commemorations. Jacqueline has over 10 years experience
in database management with nonprofit organizations. |

Lisa
Pighetti Development Assistant Lisa
is responsible for the Center’s overall brand identity. She designs and develops
marketing and event materials, maintains the website and assists in strategic
marketing planning. Lisa also manages the Center’s designated memorials and tributes. |

Sandi
Topper Director, Special Events Sandi
has been involved in non-profit fund raising for 26 years, the last six here at
the Center. Her responsibilities include the Annual Benefit, Golf Invitational,
Barbara Demovsky Pritikin Memorial Library Benefit and Education Programs, Young
Adult Council, Special Event Fund Raising Committee and supervision of the Development
Associate. |
