The Cancer Wellness Center’s lecture and workshop topics provide a wide array of educational and experiential opportunities. We present new topics each quarter to help you and your loved ones become well informed as you navigate a cancer diagnosis. Research has found that actually seeking information increases an individual’s sense of control, improves the ability to make decisions, reduces anxiety and makes communication with healthcare providers easier.
Registration is required for all lectures/workshops. To register and learn more, select a program below.
Living with cancer can create so many stresses, which can in turn compromise immune functioning. In order to address both the physical and emotional components of distress, the Cancer Wellness Center offers evidence-based classes and individual wellness services that have been found to produce a physiological relaxation response.
Participants are able to attend group classes for mind, body and health, which include many disciplines such as yoga and meditation, as well as individual wellness appointments to help manage stress, emotional well-being and the side effects and symptoms of cancer.
