The Cancer Wellness Center receives operating support through the generosity of individuals, foundations, corporations, and businesses. Donations make it possible to offer our services to cancer survivors and family members free of charge. Each and every donation is vital to the Center and more importantly, to those who’s lives are affected by cancer.
Earlier this year a team of 100 Astellas employees came to the Cancer Wellness Center as part of a company-wide Changing Tomorrow Day. From repainting the entire interior of the building and washing our many windows, to planting and landscaping a new outdoor meditation space, their hard work will have an enormous and lasting impact in creating a welcoming environment for our participants.
"The passion and enthusiasm of employees who participate in Changing Tomorrow Day is a reflection of Astellas' commitment to transforming lives. The Cancer Wellness Center's mission of helping people to live better while living with cancer is closely aligned with Astellas' commitment."
– Jim Robinson, President Astellas Pharma US
Each year, high school students from Deerfield High School host their annual Crossover 4 Cancer basketball tournament. Together they have raised nearly $30,000 to support the programs and services of the Cancer Wellness Center.
For the past 15 years, Steve Lewis of Lewis Floor & Home has dedicated June as Cancer Wellness Center Month, during which he contributes 10% of his sales to the Center. This provides us with generous resources and visibility, and provides his customers with a path for giving back to their community.
“Our partnership with Cancer Wellness Center a is win-win. We are investing in the health and well-being of our community, and providing peace of mind to those who are most in need.“
