Program will be held at Ryerson Woods Forest Preserve, 21950 North Riverwoods Road, Riverwoods, IL
Presented by: Kimberly Matthews, MA, LCPC; Megan McMahon, PhD
Research demonstrates that outdoor exercise, such as hiking, offers health and well-being benefits. Join us at Ryerson Woods Forest Preserve, 21950 North Riverwoods Road, Riverwoods for a nature meditation followed by a two mile hike. Meet outside the Brushwood Center entrance by 11:00 am – promptness is important. Brushwood parking lot and Center can be found on the forest preserve map.
Please wear comfortable hiking or running shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. The hiking terrain will not be paved and we may encounter irregular surface paths – all part of the beauty and joy of the hike! The Ryerson hiking trail offers the opportunity to return to the Brushwood Center parking lot at various points, if you would prefer to shorten your hike. Hike will be canceled in the event of rain.
Participants will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing during the duration of the hike.
