Introduction to QiGong
QiGong (“Chee-Kung”) is the modern term for the ancient art and science of health maintenance and healing. It’s a practice of working with Qi, the vital energy that animates all living things.
We will focus on deep relaxation through self-regulation of the nervous system – especially Vagal Tone.
Our class will include four essential Qi cultivation methods:
- Postural alignment and gentle movement
- Breath practice
- Self-applied massage and Acupressure
- Visualization and Meditation
During the last part of the workshop – we will be taking a seated guided imagery journey inward that is designed to awaken an internal resource that may be of personal use to you at this moment on your path – the medicine within.
Everything can be done seated or standing.
Please wear comfortable clothes and have a chair or cushion to sit on.
