Virtual: Caring for a Parent with Cancer
Monday, July 14 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CDT
FreeCommunity begins with our parents. This is but one of the many factors that make the caregiving process so challenging when a parent receives a cancer diagnosis. Whether we admire and cherish this parent or if that relationship is more complicated, navigating a parent’s cancer diagnosis is incredibly challenging, and it brings unique responsibilities for their children, ranging from anticipatory grief to delegations of responsibilities amongst siblings. This virtual program aims to improve existing communication strategies while acknowledging the challenges of balancing one’s emotions while maintaining other responsibilities. Join us to gain the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference in this chapter of your family’s history.
Presented by: Dominique James, MS, LCPC
Registration closes at 2:00 pm on July 14.
