Virtual: Restore and Rest

Join Katie for an evening of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. This class will be made up of a series of simple movements to warm up the body, followed by relaxing restorative poses which will be held for an extended period of time (with props*), and will end with a Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is a powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. While the practitioner rests comfortably in savasana (corpse pose), this guided meditation takes you through the pancha maya kosha (all five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness. At the end of class an integration tool of “creative expression” will be used. Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra are a necessary part of our practice to help us restore physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
*You will need props for this class. Bolsters/pillows/ furniture cushions or at least 4 blankets. Yoga blocks or books to stack and a chair. Dress comfortably.
