Virtual: The Future of Fertility is Female

Thursday, May 12, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm CDT

While not often discussed when diagnosed with cancer, there is a high risk of infertility following cancer for young adult patients. Infertility treatment can also be threatened by a cancer diagnosis in young adulthood.

Having the opportunity to create a family in the future may depend on the following factors:

Having an understanding of reproductive function so you can ask questions of your healthcare team if fertility preservation options are not offered.

Being able to absorb the financial burden of fertility procedures that are still not covered by many insurance plans.

Please join us on May 12th, 2022 at 11:30-12:30 CST (12:30 – 1:30 EST) time for a conversation with women who understand firsthand the unique challenges of a cancer diagnosis during reproductive year. Our panel will include Dr. Jaime Knopman (CCRM), Amanda Rice (The Chick Mission), Jessica Mace (Carebetter) and Roshni Kamta (The Chick Mission). The discussion of how to navigate the unique fertility challenges Young Adult Cancer patients face will be moderated by Savina Chacheva (Cancer Wellness Center) and may be accessed at cancerwellness.org
