Virtual: Who Cares for the Caregiver?

Wednesday, May 20, 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm CDT

Free

Caring for a loved one with cancer can be a stressful and isolating experience, and caregiver distress often exceeds that of the cancer patient. COVID-19 and the recent stay-in-place order have only served to heighten caregiver isolation. In this presentation, we will explore the challenges of caregiving along with strategies to reduce the anxieties inherent in the role. Topics include: finding sources for support, fostering self-care, maintaining intimacy, and finding gratitude in the role. There is a limit of 25 registrants.

Presented by Donna Oldenburg, MA, LCPC, NCC
