SUMMARY:Dance of Directions - A Cherokee Dance for Peace
DESCRIPTION:The Dance of Directions is a slow-moving prayer to the earth an
 d sky that clears the energetic pathways within the body and the earth. Thr
 ough heart-felt intention and simple movement\, the Dance guides one to att
 une to the land and the sacred directions. In this workshop\, the participa
 nt learns the movements of the Dance and their meaning. No dance experience
  is necessary\; however\, participants with good balance and moderate exerc
 ise ability can participate in the full body movements. For those who are b
 alance or gait-challenged\, one can still participate in a chair and receiv
 e benefits. It is suggested to wear comfortable\, loose clothing.\n\nThis m
 ind-body approach is from the tradition of the Ywahoo Lineage of the Tsalag
 i (Cherokee) Nation and was shared through the gift of generosity to all pe
 ople\, denominations\, and cultures\, to bring peace on the earth. The inst
 ructor has studied since 2015 with the Sunray Meditation Society and was ce
 rtified to teach this practice of peace.\n\nNOTE: Light snacks will be prov
 ided over a short break during the program.\n\nPresented by Christi Ione\,
