 tion to the time‑honored tradition of maple syrup tapping.\n\nThe program
  begins indoors with a short\, hands-on lesson about local trees\, how sap 
 is produced\, and a sampling of fresh maple syrup. Participants will then h
 ead outside to visit drilling practice stations\, check sap buckets on the 
 trees\, and explore the farm area. The experience concludes with a behindâ€
 ‘the‑scenes look at how Lake County Forest Preserve staff transform raw s
 ap into authentic maple syrup using modern and traditional methods.\n\nPres
