DESCRIPTION:Explore the creative possibilities of Black Out Poetry\, a proc
 ess where you take an existing page of text from a book\, newspaper\, or ma
 gazine and select a handful of words to transform the text into a poem. Usi
 ng the page as a springboard\, we will highlight and block out words with a
 rt materials to transform the original work into something new. Patti Vick\
 , MFA\, and mindfulness teacher\, will present examples of Black Out Poetry
  and guide you step-by-step in making your own creations. All materials wil
 l be provided. You are welcome to bring a book or page of text from home (o
 r a photocopy of the page) to modify and alter as well.\n\nNo prior art exp
