Stand-up Comedy Workshop
For some of us, humor gets us through the hard stuff of living with cancer, allowing us to process our experience in a way that helps us not only cope, but feel better. Laughing also releases serotonin, which can help your body heal. This workshop is not group therapy, but if you’d like to share and laugh about your experiences, join us in this 7-week workshop.
Therapy Dog Meet & Greet
Join us for a relaxing and enjoyable meet and greet with certified therapy dogs from Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy. This informal monthly program offers the opportunity to interact with the dogs, learn about their training, and watch them show you their special skills.Â
Nature Hike
Join us at local nature preserves for short hikes through natural terrain and enjoy the calming benefits of time spent in nature. Please wear comfortable hiking or running shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Men’s Hike
Join us monthly at local nature preserves for short hikes through natural terrain. Please wear comfortable hiking or running shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. This hike is reserved for any male participant – those diagnosed, caregiving, or bereaved.
Grief Walk
Research demonstrates that outdoor exercise, such as hiking, offers health and wellbeing benefits. Join us for a hike along with others who have a shared understanding of grief and loss. This program is for anyone who has lost a loved one to cancer within the last five years. Drop in and join other participants for fun.
