See what our participants have to say about Cancer Wellness Center
“The Cancer Wellness Center not only does amazing things for cancer patients and survivors but also for their families and friends. Knowing there is a place to go that is fully dedicated to the issues that affect those whose lives are touched by cancer, gives me great peace of mind. It can be easy to start feeling alone in the illness, but this organization is here to lift us up and remind us that we stand strong with a multitude of amazing individuals who are fighting with us and alongside of us – helping us to live the life that we have to its fullest.”
“While I had a great team of doctors to support my medical needs, I was lost emotionally and felt unprepared for what may come next. The Center’s staff provided me with a safe environment to understand how the cancer diagnosis impacted my life and what to expect in the future.”
“The Cancer Wellness Center is a phenomenal resource for any cancer survivor, young or old. As a young cancer survivor myself, I have found immeasurable support in their counselors and groups. The physician’s office helps with the physical battle, and the Cancer Wellness Center helps with the mental one.”
“During the chaos that arrives along with a cancer diagnosis, it was such a relief to come to the Center…the expertise and the peace of mind were right there, and I didn’t have to search for it.”
See us in action…
The Cancer Wellness Center was founded in 1989 as a volunteer organization to improve the lives of people living with cancer. The community non-profit was built on the principle of providing free services to cancer patients and members of their support networks. Over the years, the Cancer Wellness Center has expanded its evidence-based services in effort to better serve people with cancer in the greater Chicago area.
