Alana Lebovitz, MSW
Intake Coordinator
In my role as Intake Coordinator, I have the privilege of being the first point of contact for those individuals and families seeking support at the Cancer Wellness Center.
With a master’s in social work and a comprehensive understanding of the services we provide, I strive to meet each person where they are—with compassion, respect, and care.
I work closely with participants to understand their unique needs, recommend appropriate services and stay in touch throughout the process to ensure all necessary steps are completed. I recognize that reaching out can feel overwhelming, and I strive to make the process as simple and supportive as possible.
In addition to my intake responsibilities, I focus on building and nurturing relationships with hospital partners and community organizations. I collaborate closely with allied health care professionals to ensure their patients are connected to the Center’s supportive services. I regularly share updates about ourprograms and events to keep providers informed and engaged.
I also actively seek out new community connections, educating organizations about our resources and expanding our referral network to better serve individuals impacted by cancer.
Alana Lebovitz has been a member of the Center’s staff since 2023. She received her MSW from the University of Illinois Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work.
