Priscilla Andrews, MA, LCPC
Clinical Director
At some point in everyone’s life, we are greeted with an invitation to change. Sometimes these junctures arrive by choice – beginning or leaving a relationship or marriage, deciding on a new career path or to retire. Sometimes these changes arrive on their own timeline – children leave the nest, a medical crisis occurs, we experience the death of a loved one. These periods of transition can be disorienting and destabilizing and bring with them the stress of the unknown. They also present us with an opportunity to learn about new parts of ourselves, to re-establish a connection to our core self and to grow in unanticipated ways.
If you are grappling with how to establish a new normal in the face of change, I am here to help. I provide individual and couples therapy for adults working to adjust to a cancer diagnosis and the life transitions that come with it. I also work with individuals seeking to develop and implement plans for behavior change related to stress management and self-care.
I seek to create a sense of safety to foster self-exploration and growth. With a focus on gaining insight into the influence earlier experiences are having on the present – paired with developing a deeper understanding about how your nervous system shapes your experience of the world – we can work together to move down the path you want to go.
