CWC attended this gathering focused on improving life expectancy and strengthening access to care in Black and Brown neighborhoods. Speakers included Martin Castro (CEO, Casa Central), Dr. Karriem Watson (CEO, Mile Square Health Center), Ayesha Jaco (Executive Director, West Side United) and was moderated by Paris Thomas (CEO, Equal Hope). Several elected officials also shared insights on breaking down barriers and supporting healthier, more equitable communities.

CWC participated in OMNI’s summer celebration event, featuring backpack giveaways, raffles, food trucks, and more.

CWC participated in the Village of Mount Prospect Human Services Department’s first Family Health Fair at the Busse “Pocket” Park across Village Hall. The event included therapy animals, free first aid kits, health screenings, and other interactive activities.

CWC participated in the Village of Mt. Prospect’s day of community connection, which featured health screenings, interactive activities, and valuable resources for older adults, caregivers, and families.

CWC joined community partners in a gathering focused on raising awareness about gender-based violence and supporting survivors across Lake County

CWC participated in Breakthrough’s annual Wellness Fair at the Breakthrough FamilyPlex. Over 47 organizations participated to support the 9 dimensions of wellness: Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, Intellectual, Environmental, Financial, Occupational, and Creative. Instagram Reel


CWC joined fellow CCID coalition partners at the City of Hope Downtown Chicago Clinic for a presentation and discussion on Medicaid policy shifts led by Dr. Joe Alvarnas, Vice President of Government Affairs at City of Hope.

Jeff and Jenny attended City of Hope’s annual survivorship fair, honoring survivors reaching their 5 year milestone. One highlight included a beautiful red carpet walk-up and ovation for all of the survivors.

This event brought together providers throughout Lake County to share resources with school personnel and families.

CWC participated in senior fairs located in Roselle, Palatine, and Wauconda, connecting with older adults and community members to share information and resources.
