Men’s Hiking for Health & Happiness

Wednesday, June 14 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT

Free

Ryerson Wood Forest Preserve – Brushwood Center
21850 N. Riverwoods Road
Riverwoods, IL 60015

Research demonstrates that outdoor exercise, such as hiking, offers health and well-being benefits. Join us outside the Brushwood Center for a nature meditation followed by a two mile hike. Please arrive no later than 2:00 pm, wear comfortable hiking or running shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. The hiking terrain is not paved and we may encounter irregular surface paths – all part of the beauty and joy of the hike!

Presented by: Mark Livshots, MA, LPC

(This hike is reserved for any male participant – those diagnosed, caregiving or bereaved)

RSVP below to register.

Hike will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

Trail map can be found using this link: Forest Preserve Map

Meet outside the Brushwood Center entrance by 2:00 pm – promptness is important so allow time for walking from the parking lot! Brushwood parking lot and Brushwood Center can be found on the Forest Preserve Map above. Please note: take the first left to Brushwood Center when you enter the forest preserve.

This program is part of the Cancer Wellness Center’s Men’s Health Education and Support Series, funded in part by a donation from Astellas.
