Lessons on Death and Dying: A Virtual Series

Tuesday, November 15, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CST

Free

Thanatology is the science and study of death and dying from a variety of perspectives including medical, psychological, spiritual, and others. Cancer often forces an awareness of one’s mortality through means that are harsh and unexpected for both the patient and their loved ones. This virtual series aims to educate and generate conversation around death and dying through the expertise of mental health professionals, fellows of thanatology, religious leaders, and art practice.

In this session, psychologists Dr. Damita LaRue and Dr. Brittany Trauthwein will focus on family dynamics and family grief.

Presented by: Dominique James, MS, LPC; Brittany Trauthwein, PsyD, FT; Damita LaRue, PsyD, FT, CCISM
